6 മാസം കൊണ്ട് +2 (NIOS)
+1 തോറ്റവര്‍ക്കും +2 തോറ്റവര്‍ക്കും PDC തോറ്റവര്‍ക്കും കൂടാതെ SSLC പാസായി ഒരു വര്‍ഷം കഴിഞ്ഞവര്‍ക്കും, പ്രായപരിധിയില്ലാതെ എഴുതിയെടുക്കാവുന്ന പരീക്ഷയാണ് NIOS +2. സയന്‍സ്, ഹ്യൂമാനിറ്റീസ്, കൊമേഴ്സ് ഗ്രൂപ്പുകള്‍ യഥേഷ്ടം തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാം. നേരത്തെ SSLC പാസായവര്‍ക്ക് 6 മാസം കൊണ്ട് NIOS പ്ലസ്ടു എഴുതി എടുക്കാ വുന്നതാണ്. NIOS പ്ലസ് 2 എല്ലാ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റികളും, ഗവണ്‍മെന്‍റും അംഗീകരി ച്ചിട്ടുള്ളതാണ്. ഏത് സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ തുടര്‍വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിനും, ഗവണ്‍മെന്‍റ് പരീക്ഷകള്‍ക്കും വിദേശജോലികള്‍ക്കും NIOS പ്ലസ്ടൂ സര്‍ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് പര്യാപ്തമാണ്. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്, മലയാളം, ഹിന്ദി മീഡിയങ്ങളില്‍ ഈ പരീക്ഷ എഴുതാവുന്നതാണ്. കേരളത്തിലെ എല്ലാ ജില്ലകളിലും പരീക്ഷാകേന്ദ്രങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ട്. മാര്‍ച്ച് ഏപ്രില്‍ മാസങ്ങളിലാണ് പരീക്ഷകള്‍ നടക്കുന്നത്. ഈ വര്‍ഷം SSLC പാസായവര്‍ക്ക് രണ്ട് വര്‍ഷം കൊണ്ട് +2 എഴുതി എടുക്കാവുന്നതാണ്.
പ്ലസ് ടു പാസ്സാകുവാനുള്ള അസുലഭമായ ഒരു അവസരമാണിത്. പരീക്ഷ പാസാകുവാന്‍ ഒരു പ്രാവശ്യത്തെ പരീക്ഷ എഴുതിയാല്‍ മതി (One Siting) ലഭിക്കുന്ന സര്‍ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് രണ്ടു വര്‍ഷത്തെയാണ് (+2). പരീക്ഷയെ സംബന്ധിക്കുന്ന മുഴുവന്‍ വിവരങ്ങളും രക്ഷാകര്‍തൃയോഗങ്ങള്‍ വഴിയും തപാല്‍ മുഖേനയും കുട്ടികളെയും രക്ഷകര്‍ത്താക്കളെയും അറിയിക്കുന്നതാണ്. ശനിയാഴ്ചയും പൊതു അവധി ദിവസങ്ങളിലും ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ക്കും ദൂരസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലുള്ളവര്‍ക്കും വേണ്ടി പ്രത്യേക ക്ലാസ്സുകള്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുന്നതാണ്. റഗുലര്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ക്ക് തിങ്കള്‍ മുതല്‍ വെള്ളിവരെ രാവിലെ 10 മണി മുതല്‍ ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് 1 മണി വരെ ക്ലാസ്സുകള്‍ നല്‍കുന്നതാണ്. ക്ലാസ്സുകളില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കുവാന്‍ കഴിയാത്തവര്‍ക്ക് വളരെ ലളിതമായി തയ്യാറാക്കിയ പ്രിന്‍റഡ് നോട്ട് അയച്ചുതരുന്നതാണ്.

Distance Education is a means through which students can pursue the desired course even though they are not physically present in the classroom of the college/ university offering the course. Enrolling for a course offered in the distance education mode is an ideal option for a student if they – are pressed for time, do not have the required resources or have some geographical limitations.
However, not all courses offered in the distance mode will add value to one’s CV because there is a high possibility that the course may not be recognised. As per a notification by HRD Ministry, universities offering distance education courses will now be regulated under the UGC (University Grants Commission) ODL (Open and Distance Learning) Regulations, 2017.
Through UGC ODL regulations, UGC has laid down the minimum standards of instruction for the grant of degree to students for courses offered through distance mode at the UG and PG levels. Apart from that, under the regulations students are also permitted to take about 20% of the total courses offered in a semester through online learning courses as per UGC’s (Credit Framework for Online Learning Courses through SWAYAM) Regulations, 2016.
